Doodle Dragon Studio Challenge #9

Pink, green and white and, of course a Dustin Pike image is the recipe for Challenge #9 at Doodle Dragon Studio.

The paper is from DCWV and my stash of unnamed papers.  I colored Dustin's "Special Delivery" image with Copic markers.  I used flower soft on the blanket for texture.  I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the dark pink mat using the Swiss Dots folder.  The ribbon is Offray Pink Swiss Dot. A Martha Stewart punch was used for the lacey accents behind the image.  Enjoy my attempt at this challenge!

Luncheon Favors

My DSIL, Mary, has invited me to her Sorority's Mother's Day Luncheon for the last several years since my Mom has passed. Last year I made some little favors using one of the purse images from the Cricut TBBM cart.  This year I borrowed an idea from a "Split Coast Stamper" tutorial on Pizza Boxes.  I think they turned out ok.  Many thanks to my DSIL and her wonderful Sorority Sisters for allowing me to participate.

The 2 sided paper is from the K&Co "Ancestry.com" pack.  Ribbons from my stash and $1 stamps from JoAnn's. Stickles for bling.  Thanks for looking!

Doodle Dragon Studio Challenge #8

This is my submission for the DDS challengeWe were given a template that can be viewed at
http://doodledragonstudio.blogspot.com/  .  I must admit that I'm a terrible distresser... I wanted the photo to look old, not burnt like an overcooked marshmallow...
The image is Dustin Pike's Stegasaurus in front of his Dino Background image.
The paper is from DCWV 'Fun in the Sun' Summer stack (2009) and a Stampin' Up 'Welcome Neighbor' pad..
The sentiment is from Pink Stampers Collection which I heat embossed using Stampin' Up clear embossing powder and versamark inkpad.
The sun cut is from the 'Mickey & Friends' cricut cart.
The bling and ribbon are from my stash.

Enjoy my card!

Inspiration can be found at...

I thought I'd add this card to my blog to give an example of how "Pagemaps/Cardmaps" can be used for inspiration when you need a little. [ http://www.pagemaps.com/ ]  Monthly they release sample scrapbook pages and occassionally they include cardmaps.  This site is a great tool and I don't use it enough!

The pattern paper is K&Co and the rest is all scraps from my stash.  The sentiment is from Pink Stamper's collection.

Dustin Pike for Dad!

I had to do a version of this digi from Dustin Pike's fabulous collection for a Father's Day card.  Not to brag, but I think it turned out super cute!  The background paper is DCWV mulberry.  I used Copics and gel pens to color the image and added color to the white background with some Pebbles Inc. chalks.  Isn't it just too cute?

Doodle Dragon Studio Challenge #7

This is my submission to the latest Doodle Dragon Studio's Challenge.  We were given a recipe of:
any DDS image
3 Designer papers
Ribbon
Bling
I used Mod Podge to add shine to the boots and umbrella and my favorite Anna Griffin Clear Glass Finish to the raindrops and puddle for shine and depth.
The papers are from last years DCWV Spring Stack along with some textured DCWV paper.
A MS around the border punch and some bling from my stash finished it off.  The stamp is a $1 Clear Stamp from JoAnn's.  Hope you like it.
