DDS Challenge 14.... Sketch

The challenge at Doodle Dragon Studio this week was to use a card sketch with a Dustin Pike image to create our project. This is the sketch and above is the card I created for submission.  I think it turned out ok. Enjoy!

Evolution of a card...

I started this card by using a grayscale print from MSOffice clip art.  This isn't the same image, but you get the idea.

Then I started adding color using Sakura Souffle pens and Sakura Gel pens.  I finished coloring with Copic markers.

I split this image into two sections and added a pattern paper background from DCWV's Flower Shower Stack.

Frankly, I still was not happy with the look of this card, so I added the purple buttons and cord.  Hope you like it!

Doodle Dragon Studio 4th of July Challenge

I did something a little different and made a door hanger for this challenge.  The Flag is cut from my Cricut Stand and Salute cartridge, the image is Dustin Pike's flybee.  The sentiment is computer generated and the ribbon is some old Sinimbu Patriotic Trim.  I hope you like this project.

Unique card....

I watched a You-tube video by Tim Holtz this morning that dealt with "distress ink" backgrounds and had to give it a try.  I colored the 3 3/4" by 5" matt using this method and also the two flowers on the left.  The fiber is some given to me by Dear Kathi at "A Cup of Memories" in Bemus Point, NY... it was a perfect compliment to the card.  The flowers were purchased there(ACoM) too. The stamp is from Hero Arts Thinking of You collection.

Doodle Dragon Studio Challenge #12

Sadly my own father passed quite a few years ago, but I'd love to be able to give him this card.  The DDS Challenge this week is for a #1 Dad card.  I used two of Dustin Pike's panda bear images in front of a clip art background I created in Word.  The sentiment is a $1 stamp from JoAnn's.

I am thrilled to be the winner of last weeks challenge!  Is there a prize? (I was thinking we receive a digital image for our blogs)
