I love this card....

...I just wish it was something other than a sympathy card.  I don't mean that sympathy cards don't need to be elegant or nice, in fact a grieving recipient probably deserves that more than anyone else I can think of.  The fact of the matter is, this (IMHO) gorgeous card was made to go into my "Cards for Soldiers" contributions.  Imagine what a soldier/ sailor must be going through to need to send a grieving friend or family member a card like this.  These men and women who serve to protect our country are America's greatest heroes.  God Bless The USA!

Going "Buggy" at Pike's Playground

Things are going buggy at Pike's Playground this challenge.  Use a Dustin Pike image and include a bug(he has tons of those). Link your card at the linky thingy at the bottom of the page and receive an unpublished image from Dustin.

Dustin's  "Spider having Tea" image is colored with Copic markers and has a bit of "Dreamweaver" stenciling/embossing in the background.  I highlighted the background using chalks.

Flowers and buttons are from my stash.

Playing in the Cave...

So, I'm browsing my usual blogs and come across the freebie at Floppy Latte's Digital Designs.   Jess has a most beautiful Dogwood image there for you who like flowers. After I downloaded it I decided to experiment Copics vs. Tim Holtz Distress Markers(THDM) with the image.  The Copic marker image was put through the Cuttlebug in my "Leaves" folder.  I just added some color with the THDM to the bottom image.

I have my favorite.  Do you?

Color Challenge Yellow, Red and Orange @ PP

Pike's Playground is sponsoring a color challenge this go round.  Using any Dustin Pike / Doodle Dragn Studios image and the three colors listed in the title, create a masterpiece project of some kind and add it through the link at the "Pike's Playground" blog.
I believe this is an older image of Dustin's, but it is new to me and I love it.  Colored with my Copic markers on paper from my stash.  Come on and play along, you know you want to....
